Senior Spring Fixture Team Nomination Night.
Reminder to all Clubs:-
Nominations for the above fixtures will close on 11th July 2017. Fixtures are to commence on Monday the 17th July 2016.
A Delegates Meeting will be held at Mooloolaba Tennis Club on Tuesday 11th July 2017 commencing at 7.30pm. Please ensure all nominations are accompanied by Registration Form & Fees.
Registration Fees (Senior Rules 2 & 34)
Registration fee of $80.00 per team must be paid at the time of registration or nominations will NOT be accepted. All players must be registered with Tennis Queensland.
- There is NO increase per team on 2016 fee, fee kept same as last season.
- Also there is NO increase this season in the playing fees per player of $10 ($60 per team). All off this fee goes to the Home Tennis Clubs to pay for Balls, Light & Power and Tea/coffee & Milk.
1 – Each club should have at least one delegate attend Registration Meetings, especially for the July meeting on 11th, as the SCTA will be attempting to keep each division to Max. 6 teams/division, and thus keeping the number of divisions to 5.
2 – If you cannot make the delegates meeting or drop off your nominations @ the Mooloolaba Tennis Club, then please send nomination forms to –

- The SCTA Rule 20 has been changed at the AGM – Winning points will be now be allocated to the team leading on SETS (see below).
- New Score sheet applies for 2017 fixtures (improved for ease of filling out and order of play) see attached.
Points awarded as follows:
(a) 0.01 point for each game won (both teams)
(b) 1 point for each set won (both teams)
(c) 3 points for a win overall in SETS. If Sets even, can only happen if the number of sets played are equal due part washout (6 or 8 sets played), then a win on the most games won will apply, winner of most games will received 3 points.
(d) Half-points for a wet match.
(e) BYE – half-points to each team.
(f) Forfeits – the team receiving the forfeit receives the max. points (9.54)
(g) Wet matches will be scored on a draw (equal points to both teams)
(h) Winning points will be allocated to the team leading on SETS after the completion of the fifth set (washed out games, even sets played see (c) above).
Clubs must abide by rules when registering teams in SCTA fixtures.
